About the Course:
An invaluable course for students that are new to the floral industry, florists wishing to reinforce design skills, techniques and best practices, and those florists pursuing state or national floral design certification, the 3 Day Principals & Elements of Design Course offers extensive lectures and hands-on sessions to cover the following topics: floral supplies, tools equipment, ribbon types and bow techniques, taping & wiring, flower & foliage identification, care & handling essentials and best practices, design principals, elements & styles, color theory and application (line, form, mass, grouping, etc.). Instructors will provide students with a comprehensive overview of current floral design trends, techniques, and application as well as provide interactive hands-on sessions for Everyday, Holiday, Wedding, Wear and Carry, Special Events and Sympathy Design.
