AIFD Honors Four Professionals with Awards

Four 2018 award winners on July 2 during the Institute’s Awards & Induction Ceremony held in conjunction with the National Symposium “Discover” in Washington, D.C.

Award of Distinguished Service to AIFD
Susan Ayala AIFD

Susan Ayala AIFD has been recognized with the Award of Distinguished Service to AIFD. This award is given to longstanding members of the American Institute of Floral Designers in grateful recognition of extraordinary service to the Institute, upholding its goals and supporting its activities. Recipients shall be known as ‘Fellows of AIFD’ and are granted Life Membership.

Award of Distinguished Service to the Industry
Joyce Mason-Monheim AIFD

Joyce Mason-Monheim AIFD has been recognized with the Award of Distinguished Service to the Industry. This award is presented to AIFD members who have made a significant contribution to the floral industry.

Special Award of Recognition
Janet Black AIFD

Janet Black AIFD has been recognized with the Special Award of Recognition. This award is presented by the Board of Directors in recognition of meritorious and dedicated services to the American Institute of Floral Designers.

Award of Merit – Industry
Flowers& Magazine

Flowers& Magazine has been recognized with the Award of Merit – Industry. This is an award that is presented to professionals in the floral industry who are not a member of AIFD, but who are serving a crucial role in advancing the industry. Flowers& Magazine was recognized for the countless contributions to the floral industry and its appreciation and promotion of excellence in floral design.  Accepting the award on behalf of Flowers& Magazine;  Rich Salvaggio AIFD, Rocky Pollitz AIFD, and Bruce Wright.
