Camera Liaison

Did you know that during a Main Stage presentation, over 50% of the audience is viewing the program via the jumbo screens (cameras)? The role of the Camera Liaison is an integral part of the Symposium process and we are looking at YOU to consider becoming one!

AIFD® is looking for up to three volunteers to shadow the current Camera Liaison in Chicago for one day each. This is an incredible opportunity to get up close and personal with the main stage designers, incredible floral designs, and behind the scene sneak peeks!

Prime Responsibility:

  • Assisting with camera angles and shots (calling) to make the main stage presenters look great.
  • Use effective communication with the designers and the Wyatt production team.
  • Have a good understanding of the program by meeting with the designers the day prior to their presentation.
  • Provide feedback for stage placements of designers for good camera angles.

  • Being comfortable with technology is required.
  • Having main stage design experience is not required, but is certainly a plus.

If you are interested please reach out to Sandy Schroeck AIFD, CFD, at
no later than March 1, 2020.

Symposium is a major event that would be impossible to stage without the help of hundreds of volunteers. For many attendees, the time spent working as a volunteer is one of the most rewarding parts of their Symposium experience. If you’d like to volunteer, we’d love to have you. You must be registered as a Premium or General attendee of Symposium in order to volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Poppy Parsons AIFD, CFD, CAFA at or Tiffany Hammond AIFD, CFD at
