Examine a variety of sympathy tributes, industry
terminology, construction mechanics and design
requirements. Discuss family consultations
and coordination with funeral directors. Create
traditional funeral arrangements such as casket
and standing sprays. Prerequisite: FLD 304
Floriculture 1: Basic Floral Design or permission
from the instructor.

Note: Students must bring a floral knife or sharp
pocketknife, pruning shears, wire cutters and
ribbon scissors to class. A box to carry home
arrangements is recommended. To ease back stress,
students may wish to bring a sturdy box, step
stool or other riser to elevate arrangements while
designing. A bag lunch is recommended.
