Kim Oldis AIFD, CFD Named President of
American Institute of Floral Designers

Kim Oldis AIFD, CFD, of Details…it’s all about the flowers in LaConnor, Wash. (on the left in the photo) was installed as the president of the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) during the organization’s acclaimed 2017 National Symposium held in Seattle, July 1-5.  She succeeds Anthony Vigliotta AIFD, CFD of Anthos Design in Los Angeles, Calif. (on the right in the photo) as the volunteer leader of the floral industry’s leading organization in design education.

Installed as AIFD’s President-Elect was Frank Feysa AIFD, CFD of Garden Gate in Aurora, Ohio. Jackie Lacey AIFD, CFD of the Floriology Institute in Jacksonville, Fla. was elected to serve as the Institute’s vice president. David Shover AIFD, CFD of Karin’s Florist in Vienna, Va. will serve as secretary and Tom Simmons AIFD, CFD of Three Bunch Palms Productions in Palm Springs, Calif. will continue to serve as treasurer.

Sandy Schroeck AIFD, CFD of Unlimited Containers in Eden Prairie, Minn. will serve as the membership chairperson and Suzie Kostick AIFD, CFD, PFCI of Rio Rancho, N.M.  will take on the role as AIFD’s 2018 Symposium Coordinator for Symposium “Discover” taking place June 30 – July 4, 2018 in Washington, D.C.

Directors-at-large include: Janet Black AIFD, CFD of Designs by Janet Black in Bethel, Maine, John Hosek of Surroundings in Verona, Wis., BJ Dyer AIFD, CFD of Bouquets in Denver, Colo., Rachelle Nyswonger-Neal AIFD, CFD of Flowers by Rachelle in Chico, Calif., Sharrai Morgan AIFD, CFD of Holly’s Fine Flowers in Port Townsend, Wash., and Katie McCormick AIFD, CFD of KM Floral Design in Hacienda Heights, Calif.
