2027 Symposium “The Innovation Express”

Call for Submissions

We are excited to be in St Louis, MO, for the 2027 National Symposium. The 2027 Symposium is sure to provide unmatched opportunities to network, learn, and source new products all under the roof of the beautiful Hilton, St. Louis Union Station.

AIFD® is looking for speakers to share their knowledge during the various educational offerings that will comprise the educational lineup. The committee is seeking professionals from all segments of the floral and allied industries to fill over 30 sessions within these tracks:

• Retail / Grocery / Production
• Wedding and Events
• Advanced Floral Artistry
• Business, Marketing, Technology
• Leadership & Professional Development
• Sustainability

Session Length and Opportunities
Session lengths vary based on the track and type of session. Typically, 60 minutes for general sessions and breakouts, and 120 minutes for hands-on style workshops. The AIFD® Symposium will feature main stage large-scale floral presentations, hands-on workshops, lecture and demonstration sessions, and immersive educational sessions.

Submittal process
To submit a session for consideration, please complete the forms by following the links below:

The deadline for submission is 11:59 pm ET, Wednesday, October 15.

Please note that we cannot accept proposals if the required information is not included. Speakers who have previously presented at one of our events still need to complete the form.

Selection Process
The Symposium Coordinator Team the Symposium Director will review all proposals and make preliminary selections. The Symposium Development Committee with review the recommended proposals prior to final selection. The final determination will be made based on speaker qualifications, originality of the session, and how applicable the topic is to the core audience. The committee will vet all speakers. Notice of acceptance or denial will be provided no later than February 1, 2026.
