Education Partners

AIFD®’s Education Partner Membership category of membership was created to enhance AIFD’s strong commitment to education by specifically including private sector educators.

Benefits of Education Partner Membership

Each approved member will receive:

1. The opportunity to award students AIFD®’s nationally recognized Certified Floral Designer (CFD®) designation.
2. A listing in AIFD®’s membership directory with a description (25 words maximum).
3. An online directory listing on AIFD®’s website including a link to school web page and the description provided in the membership directory.
4. Use of the “AIFD® Education Partner” designation in advertising, promotions, and school certificates.
5. The opportunity to speak with AIFD® National Symposium participants about your school and display school information during the Partner Showcase. Applications to participate must be received at AIFD® Headquarters no later than May 1.
6. AIFD® National Symposium discounts:

• Attendance for one (1) instructor at the AIFD® member rate who is NOT an AIFD® member.
• Offer your students who have completed a course the opportunity to attend at the AIFD® member rate (one-time only discount).

7. Ability to post upcoming courses offered by your school on AIFD’s Calendar of Events.
8. Each approved Education Partner member can purchase the AIFD Guide to Floral Design directly from Schiffer Publishing with a special offer of a 45% discount on a minimum order of six books, including free shipping within the lower 48 U.S. states. To take advantage of this benefit, members should contact Joe Langman from Schiffer Publishing (joe@schifferbooks.com), who can assist with the ordering process.

How To Become an AIFD Education Partner

Complete the application form.

• If a question or piece of information does not pertain to your school, respond with “not applicable”.
  Incomplete applications will not be processed.
• AIFD®’s Education Committee reviews all Education Partner membership applications and determines eligibility for membership. You will be contacted once the Education Committee has made their recommendation.

Education Partners agree to: 

• Pay the annual Education Partners membership fee.
• Offer quality floral design education and use The AIFD® Guide to Floral Design as one of your teaching tools.
• Provide at least one AIFD® Certified Floral Evaluator/Judge on staff to participate in their hands-on evaluation of students.
• Uphold AIFD®’s PFDE® Objectives provided upon approval of your application.
• Understand that the Education Partner membership category is not an endorsement or accreditation from AIFD®.
